Reasons for Wisdom Teeth Removal

The issue is when they’re not fully erupted or coming in at an angle, which can lead to future dental problems. The main reasons we would recommend extraction are when your wisdom teeth are:

- Damaging nearby teeth or the bone
- Only partially emerged, making them difficult to keep clean and increasing the likelihood of infection or disease
- Negatively affecting your jaw movement or chewing ability

About the Wisdom Teeth Removal Procedure
Before beginning the wisdom teeth removal, we’ll administer sedation (if you choose) as well as local anesthetic so that you don’t experience discomfort during the procedure. We’ll remove the tooth, clean the area, and place some gauze over the extraction site. We will also give you some instructions on what to do and eat after surgery to ensure you have a speedy, problem-free recovery.
